HALF DAY TA PHIN & RED DAO VILLAGE (3 HOURS)

Ta Phin has gone from being a stranger to one of the hottest check-in points in Sapa for young people. However, the tribal-rich cultures have not been changed by modern life. Since 1998, it has become a hand-
made brocade village. Ta Phin is home to two different ethnic minorities. You can explore its interesting diversities on a trip.

The Red Dao and the Black Hmong ethnic minorities live in the same village at Ta Phin. Although unusual, the two groups live side by side without mixing their traditions. Visiting some of the houses in the village, you will learn about the cultural differences between two of the largest ethnic minorities in the region and the customs passed down from generation to generation.

The different hill tribes can be identified by their dress: the Red Dao wears large red headdresses that appear to be made from folded fabric, whilst the Black Hmong sport black pillbox hats, not dissimilar to the fez. Transfer back to your hotel. (2-hour-walking of 3.8 km)
