CAN GIO, VIET NAM
Can Gio Biosphere Reserve is located in the coastal district southeast of Saigon. Today it has become one
of the most extensive sites of rehabilitated mangroves in the world. The effects of the wars on these
ecosystems have been devastating and enormous efforts have been made by local people to rehabilitate the
mangroves.
