FULL DAY VENTURE BACK IN TIME DMZ (10 HOURS)

Located 100km north of Hue, the Former Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) along the Ben Hai River was dividing line between north and south Vietnam and saw some of the worst battles in the country’s history.

Today, start the trip early from Hue for 2-hour drive to Quang Tri province, where you can visit the remains of former American military foundations or the fascinating tunnel complex linked to the sea. The excursion starts with a drive to Hien Luong Bridge, a French-built bridge that became a symbol of division during the war.

Then, choose between these two options:

Option 1: Visit the impressive tunnel complex at Vinh Moc, where villagers lived underground for years to escape bombing by American forces.

Option 2: Head towards the Lao border to visit Khe Sanh, The Rockpile, and the city of Quang Tri. which saw heavy fighting during the war.

Both options offer unique and eye-opening insights into Vietnam’s history. Return to Hue after the tour.
