“The West is known as the Mekong Delta. The land belongs to the lower Mekong River, this place has a large
amount of silt, which has a variety of fruits. This is the largest granary in Vietnam. People’s activities mostly
take place floating on the water. Let’s explore the beauty of this floating water to learn more about nature,
lifestyle, and people here.
CAN THO IN – DEPTH WITH LOCA L BOAT
Day 1: Sai Gon- Cai Be -Can Tho
10:00 am- 11:00 am
Here you will board a motorized sampan Cai Be Princess, a traditional bamboo covered wooden boat, and
begin your exploration of one of Vietnam’s most enchanting landscapes.The region is rich with fruit orchards
and, depending on the season, there will be the opportunity to taste some of the tasty tropical produce.

11:00 am- 11:30 am
Proceed to Tan Phong island for a biking or walking tour through village paths, where you can
observe the local daily life.

11:30 am- 12:00 am
During the excursion, you can also make a few stops to see the dried water-hyacinths being woven into various products like baskets, bags, wallets, and shoes. Take a break at a local garden to enjoy some cups of tea while listening to traditional music
12:00 pm- 13:30 pm
Crossing the Mekong River, one of the world’s longest rivers, to reach An Binh Island. Enjoy lunch with authentic Mekong specialties at an eatery run by Ut Trinh family
14:00 pm- 15:30 pm
End the trip visit a brick kiln, where you can witness the traditional hand-made method that passed down generations. It might be busy sometimes but if you are interested in the local cottage industry. The tour will culminate in Vinh Long city. From here, continue by car to Can Tho

Day 2: Can Tho
7:00 am- 9:00 am
Get on a local motorized boat for a cruise to the small-scale Cai Rang floating market. In the past, when
there were no concrete bridges, it was the most lively trading spot where you could see a profusion of boats
laden with fruits, vegetables and all manner of groceries. With the urbanization and development of
infrastructure, there are much fewer boats gathering for trading nowadays, however, you can still feel the
rustic vibes of a traditional floating market.

13:00 pm- 14:30 pm
Continue to explore another part of the city by bike. Hop on a leisurely 10km bike ride along Muong Dinh canal, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Meander along narrow village roads, pass through lush fruit gardens.
14:00 pm- 15:30 pm
Visit a Fine Rice Vermicelli – Banh Hoi -workshop, where you can witness the process of making this traditional Vietnamese delicacy.Transfer back to your hotel.
Day 3: Can Tho- Sai Gon
Relax at your hotel until early afternoon, return to Saigon by car, a journey of approximately 3 hours.
