FULL DAY GO CONG – UN TOUCHED MEKONG DELTA

8:00-10:00 am:
Depart from Saigon for a scenic 2-hour drive southeast towards Go Cong, a hidden gem of the Mekong Delta.

10:00-11:30 am:
Arrive in Go Cong and visit the mausoleum of a Grand Duke, the maternal grandfather of King Tu Duc. Learn about local history and admire the unique burial site. Continue to a landlord’s ancient house built in 1909. Explore the fascinating blend of Vietnamese and French architectural styles, with its collection of antique furniture and historical items.

11:30-12:30 am:
Travel to a temple dedicated to the Pure Land Buddhist Home-Practice religion. Learn about this lesser-known faith and their commitment to providing medical care using traditional medicines to the local community. (Note: less activity on Sundays)

12:30-15:00 pm:
Arrive at a charming seaside village surrounded by rice paddies and vegetable gardens. Depending on the season, you might have the opportunity to interact with local farmers and see their gardens. Enjoy a
delicious lunch featuring fresh seafood caught locally, savored at a traditional farmhouse.

15:00-17:00 pm:
Depart Go Cong and begin your return journey to Ho Chi Minh City, carrying unforgettable memories of this unspoiled region.
