7:30-10:00 am:
Take a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. Enjoy the beautiful countryside landscapes and tranquil river views.

10:30-11:15 am:
Upon arrival, hop on a local bike for a leisurely 5-7km ride through quiet village lanes surrounded by vegetable gardens, coconut trees and rivers. Visit the village hall, built in the 19th century, where farmers gathered to pray.

11:15-12:00 am:
Stop by a unique brick kiln factory, one of the last remaining in the area, and witness traditional brick-making methods. Ben Tre has the largest coconut plantation in the country, if you are lucky you can witness it interesting ways to extract coconut.

12:00-14:00 pm:
Board Lan Thanh’s motorized boat and cruise along the main river. Gain insights into the agriculture and daily life along the Mekong River. Take a motor-tricycle ride to a rustic local restaurant for a delicious lunch. Savor Mekong Delta specialties like elephant-ear fish and river shrimp.

14:00-14:30 pm:
After lunch, a tranquil rowing sampan will pick you up directly from the restaurant pier, taking you on a serene ride through picturesque canals that are adorned with lush, shady water coconut groves.

14:30-15:00 pm:
Return to your vehicle for a transfer back to Saigon.

it might get busy sometimes. The dining establishments in Ben Tre offer a more rustic, authentic dining experience that may not be as upscale as some visitors are accustomed to. Due to heavy traffic jams during the festive season, it is recommended to avoid traveling to Mekong Delta one week before Tet holidays; and the first 7 days of the Tet holidays since all industry cottages are closed down.
