LESS VISITED NINH BINH – LAN HA BAY

Day 1: Hanoi – Ninh Binh

From 9:00 am – 11:30 am

Embark on a 2.5-hour drive to Ninh Binh. Having formations jutting out of the rice paddies, the area is sometimes referred to as Ha Long Bay on Land. Free at leisure to enjoy the surrounding peaceful landscape.

Day 2: Ninh Binh

From 7:00 am – 9:30 am

Leave all the hustle and bustle behind before entering the peaceful outskirt of Tho Ha village. Enjoy a full day engaging in the daily rural farming life activities and exploring the mysterious Galaxy Cave. Enjoy a leisure cycling trip between 10-15km up to your wish and appreciate the immersed rice fields and agriculture life.

From 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Then roll up your sleeves, put in your boots, and take part in the fun daily life activities with local fishermen/farmers. Have a chance to catch crab and mudfish using traditional rattan tools and plant rice on the fields. Engage in a casual talk with the local farmer to get an insight into his family and lifestyle. It’s time for lunch at a rustic yet traditional restaurant. Hands-on in a simple cooking class with the chef before having lunch with Ninh Binh specialties.

From 13:30 pm – 16:00 pm

Get on a rowing boat trip to the Galaxy Cave, recently discovered in 2007 due to its small size gateway & its hidden location in the rained forest on Tuong mountain. The cave is beautifully untouched with natural formations of stalagmites & stalactites in shimmering colors – giving you the feeling of being lost in a paradise on earth. There is a diverse range and amazing shapes of stalactites and stalagmites situated in both dry and wet caves.

From 16:30 pm – 17:30 pm

Continue your rowing boat trip back to return to your hotel in Tam Coc through the most stunning sceneries along the river banks while watching tranquil sunset reflecting in the idyllic river.

Day 3: Ninh Binh – Lan Ha Bay

From 8:00 am – 10:30 am

Embark on a 3,5-hour drive from Ninh Binh to Tuan Chau pier for an overnight journey in Lan Ha bay. Lan Ha bay has become well known as a quieter alternative to the more famous Ha Long bay and is located fu rather to the east of Cat Ba Island.

From 10:30 am – 17:00 pm

You will be served lunch while cruising the emerald waters past the bay’s ubiquitous limestone islands. Depending on your cruise itinerary, you will be able to enjoy activities either this afternoon or the following morning to explore caves and grottos, visit pearl farms, or take in picturesque island beaches. Some cruises also include kayaking.

From 17:00 pm

After sunset, enjoy a Vietnamese cooking demonstration before enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 4: Lan Ha Bay – Hanoi

From 8:00 am

Awaken your senses early this morning with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck or simply relax on board and take in the magnificent surroundings. Breakfast is served (brunch on some boats) while you enjoy cruising back through the bay. Disembark and bid farewell to the friendly crew.
