The park covers 71,350 Hectares of lowland tropical forest and swamp in southern Viet Nam and is home to numerous birds and mammals. One of Vietnam’s most important and largest National Parks, it is mostly situated at the northern edge of Äông Nam Bá» region, but includes southern edge of Tây Nguyên. Protected by the Vietnamese government in the 1970s, the park was certified as a UNESCO biosphere reserve

 

Day 1: Saigon-Cat Tien National Park

 

12:00-15:30 pm: Tourists move SaiGon to Cat Tien National Park by car

 

15:30-18:00 pm: take a leisure afternoon trek through the forest with your guide.

 

The Park is varied and made up of seasonally flooding grassland and swamp forest. The wetland is bounded to the east, south and west by dense humid evergreen forest with semi-evergreen and deciduous forest in the park itself. To date, more than 1,700 plant special have been recorded, in 170 botanical families.

 

20:00-21:00 pm:

 

The one-hour trip allows visitors to sit on an open-top truck. Depends on your luck, you might have chance to observe the small animals coming out to look for food at night. The 71,000-ha national park is home to about 1,500 species of animals including Asian elephants, sun bears, gaur, and a variety of smaller mammals.

 

Day 2: Cat Tien National Park

 

5:30-11:30 am:

 

Early morning departs for an 8 km drive and then a 5km hike to Bau Sau, where a stilted compound around a lake inhabited by hundreds of Siamese crocodiles, courtesy of a reintroduction program that saw the reptiles return to the park after the original population was wiped out by human activity.

15:00-18:00 pm:

 

Cat Tien National Park is highly appreciated for its biodiversity potential with thousands of rare and advanced animals and plants. This is one of eight world biological reserves in Vietnam recognized by UNESCO. Visitors will be guided to observe large and rare animals from afar such as elephants and gaurs…..

 

Day 3: Cat Tien National Park – Saigon

 

Spend the morning free at leisure just to enjoy the tranquility of nature and the murmuring sound of the nearby brook or just wander around to contemplate the beauty of nature. Take a 3.5-hour drive back to Saigon.
