Day 1 – Quan Ba → Sao Ha → Dong Van
Meet your local guide and Easy Rider over a warm bowl of bánh cuốn, then climb into the mountains toward Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where the Twin Mountains rise across a wide valley.

In the afternoon, leave the main road and ride deep into Sao Ha – a high-valley village so remote there’s no electricity and no phone signal, just a forest path and an old shrine for forest spirits. Most loops never reach this place. Curve through Tham Ma Pass, stop at the 100-year-old Vu Family Mansion, and arrive in Dong Van by sunset to settle into your private room at Serenity Bungalow.

Day 2 – Ma Pi Leng → Nho Que → Thien Huong → Lo Lo Chai
Ride out to Ma Pi Leng Pass, where limestone cliffs tower above the emerald Nho Que River. Drop down for a boat trip through Tu San Canyon, Vietnam’s deepest gorge.

After lunch in Dong Van, stop at Deo Gio – a ridge-top café locals love and tour groups skip. The afternoon takes you to Thien Huong, a Tay village where yin-yang roof tiles and earth walls still stand as they were built, then Lung Cu (Vietnam’s northernmost point) and Lo Lo Chai, where rammed-earth houses and Lolo families make the far north feel close and real. Evening back at the bungalow with corn wine and stories.

Day 3 – Don Cao → Meo Vac → M-Shaped Curves → Yen Minh
If today is Sunday, leave early to catch the weekly highland market, where H’mong, Tay, Dao and Lolo communities gather to trade and meet old friends. Then climb up to Don Cao Fortress for a view over Dong Van, and take coffee in a centuries-old courtyard in the Ancient Quarter.

By midday, ride toward Meo Vac and onto the M-Shaped Curves – nine sharp bends carved straight into the mountainside, one of the most dramatic roads in Vietnam. By evening, arrive in Yen Minh and check in to a warm family homestay where dinner is home-cooked and the conversation is easy.

Day 4 – Lung Khuy → Lung Tam → Thai An → Hanoi
Start at Lung Khuy Cave, a hidden chamber of limestone formations. Then visit Lung Tam Village, where H’mong women still weave flax fabric by hand using beeswax-dyeing techniques passed down through generations – a craft that’s been part of daily life here for over a hundred years.

A final ride past Thai An Waterfall brings you back to Ha Giang City for a photo at the Km 0 Milestone. Arrive around 4:00 PM, freshen up, grab dinner, and board the evening sleeper bus to Hanoi.
