Full description
The local chef and family member of the Tra Que Water Wheel restaurant will pick you up at the hotel by bicycle, motorbike, or car. Visit the colorful local market, experience how people shop, and the busy life of the wives when they are buyers and sellers. Learn about traditional ingredients and spices used in people’s daily meals and learn how to apply them in the cooking class afterward.
Then experience cycling for about 20 minutes through the rice fields, this is a great opportunity to breathe the fresh air of the countryside, and admire the farms of cows, ducks, buffaloes…
Upon arrival, explore an over 300-year-old vegetable village that grows more than 30 types of herbs using manual methods. You will feel like you are lost in a dream with the peaceful, quiet, green, fragrant vegetable fields, without the noise of vehicles and machinery.
Following the local chef, you will be guided how to cook 4 unique traditional dishes at the Water Wheel restaurant such as:
- Three friends spring roll.
- Local pancake.
- Papaya salad.
- Braised fish in clay pot.
- Steamed rice in banana leaves.
Finally, there is a fresh fruit dessert.
After you have accomplished a lot and had a good meal, you can let your thoughts wander while cycling back to the rushing heart of Hoi An. When you arrive back at your hotel, you will have wonderful memories in your heart and amazing pictures on your camera that you won’t forget this day.
