Your journey starts at the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, a symbol of the ancient capital. From here, enjoy a relaxing one-way boat trip along the Perfume River, offering a peaceful glimpse into local riverside life.
Continue to the Imperial Citadel of Hue, the former royal residence of the Nguyen Dynasty and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through its historic gates, palaces, and temples while learning about Vietnam’s last imperial era.
Next, visit Dong Ba Market, the city’s busiest marketplace, where vibrant stalls showcase local produce, street food, and traditional goods.
At midday, enjoy a home-hosted lunch featuring authentic Hue cuisine. Afterward, immerse yourself in local culture with a hands-on session making traditional green bean fruit cakes. Unwind with a herbal foot bath, sip royal tea, and relax in a tranquil garden setting while feeding koi fish.
In the afternoon, explore two of Hue’s most remarkable royal mausoleums: Khai Dinh Tomb, known for its unique fusion of Eastern and Western architecture, and Minh Mang Tomb, celebrated for its harmony with nature and classical design.
Conclude your day with visits to a traditional conical hat village and an incense-making workshop, where you can create your own handcrafted souvenirs.
