Embark on a 2-day trekking journey through the remote Dao ethnic hamlets of Khuoi My, Lung Vai, Xa Phin, Mao Phin, and Nam Te. Along the way, you will encounter ancient Shan Tuyet tea hills, vast terraced rice fields, moss-covered stilt houses, and crystal-clear waterfalls.
Each step reveals the vibrant heritage of the Long-Dress Dao (Dao Ao Dai) people—the spiritual guardians of the Tay Con Linh sacred forest. This is more than just a trek; it is a cultural immersion. Connect with the rhythm of mountain life, breathe in the scent of fresh tea leaves, and experience authentic local hospitality under the sustainable principles of TVPalm Adventure.
Day 1: TVPalm Ecolodge – Lung Vai – Xa Phin Village (Total trekking distance:~18 km)
09:00 AM: Depart from TVPalm Ecolodge towards Lung Vai (6km route with breathtaking views). Participate in a brief environmental session on local biodiversity. As you traverse the winding village roads, be captivated by the majestic allure of Tay Con Linh mountain, its lush green forests stretching towards the sky.
12:00 PM: Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local eatery in Lung Vai. We conduct a personal waste check to ensure a plastic-free journey.
01:30 PM: Trek through bamboo forests and Na Mau village. The terraced fields of the Dao people will dazzle you with their vastness. Follow the “Leave No Trace” principles as you immerse yourself in this pristine landscape.
05:30 PM: Arrive at Xa Phin Village, nestled on the other side of the mountain. This village will enchant you with its narrow valleys and winding roads that challenge even the most adventurous traveler.
Evening: Relax and enjoy a home-cooked dinner prepared by your Dao hosts. Stay in a traditional homestay, immersing yourself in the warm hospitality of the Dao people and indulging in their delicious cuisine.
Overnight: Stay at Xa Phin (shared or private room options).

Day 2: Xa Phin – Mao Phin – Nam Te – Overnight in TVPalm Ecolodge (Total trekking distance:~11 km plus motorbike travel)
08:00 AM: Visit Xa Phin village to see the iconic moss-covered roofs. Witness the beauty of the Snow Shan Tea hills, a rare endemic vegetation that has thrived for centuries in the Tay Con Linh region. Trekking through Mao Phin and meet local Dao families. Delve into the rich traditions of the Dao culture; from their unique ceremonies to the sacred worshiping ceremony for the Forest God, gain a deeper understanding of their fascinating way of life.
12:00 PM: Enjoy a traditional lunch in Nam Te village featuring organic local specialties.
1:30 PM: Continue trekking to the Na Mau gateway, followed by a transfer back to TVPalm Ecolodge.
Late Afternoon: Conclude your adventure by returning to TVPalm Ecolodge.
