DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVAL – HANOI 

A vehicle will pick you up at Noi Bai Airport, then you will check in at the hotel and rest.

05:30 PM: A vehicle and tour guide will pick you up for a Hanoi Food Tour at the hotel. The guide will introduce you to Vietnamese and Hanoi cuisine, as well as the culture and history. The group will explore Hanoi and enjoy various dishes and drinks such as: Bun cha, Bun oc, Banh cuon, Banh goi, Nem ran, Banh tom, Banh mi, Che, Banh khoai, chuoi, Hoa qua dam, tra da, and Egg Coffee.

09:00 PM: The vehicle and tour guide will take you back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

07:00 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out.

08:00 AM: Depart for Ha Long.

12:30 PM – 12:45 PM: From Ha Long International Port, you will be picked up by a shuttle boat to board the cruise. After listening to the guide’s introduction, you will receive your room key and return to the restaurant for lunch.

03:30 PM – 04:30 PM: The tour guide will take the group to Sung Sot Cave, one of Ha Long Bay’s largest and most beautiful caves.

04:30 PM – 05:30 PM: Return to the cruise, change into swimwear or suitable attire to take a small boat to swim or sightsee on Titop Island.

05:30 PM – 07:00 PM: Return to the cruise, go to the sundeck, enjoy attractive drinks, relax and watch the sunset, and participate in a cooking experience with a professional chef.

07:00 PM: Have dinner. Interact with other guests or participate in activities such as squid fishing, and karaoke until 10:00 PM. Overnight stay on the cruise.

06:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Start a new day: watch the sunrise, immerse in the fresh morning air with a refreshing cup of coffee or tea. Have a light breakfast at the buffet.

07:30 AM – 09:00 AM: Gather to follow the guide on a small boat to visit Luon Cave, one of the water caves that pass through the limestone mountains to a picturesque limestone well. (local rowing boat or kayak yourself)

09:30 AM: Check out.

09:30 AM – 11:15 AM: The cruise moves back to shore. Relax, explore the scenery, and take beautiful souvenir photos of Ha Long before enjoying an early lunch.

12:00 PM: The car will take you to the hotel to rest.

Evening: Free to enjoy dinner. Explore Hanoi at night.

07:00 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Ninh Binh.

10:20 AM: Depart to visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, a destination rich in cultural and historical value of the nation.

12:00 PM Have lunch at the restaurant.

01:00 PM: Continue the journey to Trang An Tourist Area. Take a boat trip to explore its natural beauty, visit caves, and marvel at the millennia-old stalactites. Next, conquer the “Great Wall” of Vietnam, Mua Cave, with its 500-step climb offering panoramic views of Hoa Lu and Tam Coc.

05:20 PM: The car and tour guide will take you to Hanoi.

07:00 PM – 07:30 PM: Arrive in Hanoi, check in at the hotel.

Free to enjoy dinner. Explore Hanoi at night.

07:00 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. The group departs for Sapa Lao Cai.

12:00 PM: Arrive in Sapa town. Have lunch at the restaurant.

01:00 PM: Depart to visit Fansipan and start the journey to conquer the mountain. Visit Bich Van Thien Tu, the first destination in the spiritual landscape system on the top of Fansipan, and home to the tallest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam. Admire other unique spiritual works, including Vong Linh Cao Dai, Con duong La Han, and Kim Son Bao Thang Tu, before taking photos at the 3,143m altitude marker.

05:00 PM: Return to Sapa for dinner at the restaurant. Explore Sapa at night.

07:00 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out.

09:00 AM: Visit Cat Cat village to learn about the life of the H’mong ethnic people and visit Tien Sa waterfall. Discover the unique culture and customs of the people here with traditional crafts such as weaving, silversmithing, and blacksmithing.

12:00 PM: Have lunch at the restaurant.

03:00 PM: The car and tour guide will take you back to Hanoi.

08:00 PM: Arrive in Hanoi. Check in to the hotel and rest. Free to explore Hanoi.

07:00 AM: Have a light breakfast at the hotel and check out. Then, the car will take you to Noi Bai Airport, stopping for early lunch at a restaurant on the way.

Arrive at Noi Bai Airport, and complete check-in procedures for the flight to Hue.

12:00 PM: Arrive in Hue. Check-in at the hotel.

2:00 PM: Depart to visit Ru Cha Mangrove Forest, famous for its mysterious beauty and known as the only pristine mangrove forest remaining in the largest lagoon system in Southeast Asia – Tam Giang Lagoon. Feel free to visit, walk, and take pictures with the wild beauty of the forest.

4:00 PM: Get on the car and go to Chuon Lagoon/ Tam Giang Lagoon. Board the boat for a tour of Tam Giang, the largest lagoon system in Southeast Asia. Admire the scenery, visit stilt houses, and participate in fishing activities.

5:30 PM: Enjoy a light dinner with seafood here.

6:30 PM: Disembark. The car and tour guide will take you to the hotel to rest. Free to explore Hue at night.

07:00 AM: The car and tour guide will pick you up at the central point of Hue City. On the way to Phong Nha Ke Bang cave, you will visit La Vang Holy Land and other historical sites such as Quang Tri Citadel, Doc Mieu Base, Hien Luong Bridge, and Ben Hai River.

12:00 PM: Arrive at Phong Nha and have lunch at the restaurant.

01:30 PM: Tourists travel to Son River wharf and go upstream to visit “The most beautiful cave” – Phong Nha Cave. The boat will take you into the heart of the cave where you’ll see shimmering stalactites formed over millions of years. Deeper inside, the tour guide will take you to visit Cung Dinh, Co Tien, and Bi Ky Caves.

03:30 PM: Arrive in Hue.

07:30 PM: Arrive in Hue, the car and tour guide will take you to the hotel to rest. Enjoy dinner on your own.

07:00 AM: After breakfast, the group will depart to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, an ancient pagoda built in the early 17th century. Next, the group will visit Hue Imperial City and the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum.  The group will then depart to explore Dong Ba Market, a famous market in Hue.

12:00 PM: Have lunch at the restaurant.

01:00 PM: The group will continue to visit the unique architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty’s royal tombs: Minh Mang Tomb and Khai Dinh Tomb. These two tombs have beautiful and unique architecture with Eastern and Western styles. The group will continue to visit the conical hat and incense making village. Here you can experience making incense, making conical hats, and don’t forget to leave beautiful souvenir photos.

04:00 PM – 04:30 PM: The car and tour guide will take you to the hotel to rest.

Evening: Free to enjoy dinner. Explore Hue at night.

08:00 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel, the group departs for Da Nang.

10:00 AM: Arrive in Da Nang, check in at the hotel, and rest. Free to enjoy lunch.

01:00 PM: The car and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel. The group departs to visit the Marble Mountains, visit ancient architectural works such as Xa Loi Tower, Vong Hai Dai, Vong Giang Dai, Tam Thai Pagoda, Tang Chon Cave, Hoa Nghiem Cave, Huyen Khong Cave…

04:30 PM: The group departs for Hoi An, visits and learns about Hoi An Ancient Town – with highlights such as the symbol of Hoi An tourism – Japanese Covered Bridge, then Quang Tay Assembly Hall, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Old House, Hoi An Fine Arts Craft Establishment…

07:00 PM: Have dinner at the restaurant and enjoy famous Hoi An dishes. Explore Hoi An at night.

08:30 PM: The car and tour guide will take you back to Da Nang. Overnight in Da Nang.

08:00 AM: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. The car and tour guide will take you to visit Ba Na Hills.

09:00 AM: Arrive at the foot of Ba Na Mountain, you will take the cable car to the top of Ba Na. Depart from Suoi Mo station on the world-record cable car route to admire the majestic Suoi Mo waterfall and the primeval forest of Ba Na Nature Reserve. You will enjoy the distinct change of weather when passing through the Gate of Heaven or experience sitting in glass cabins to admire the entire wild beauty of the mountains and forests.

09:30 AM:Visit the Golden Bridge, a unique and impressive architectural marvel. Continue to Le Jardin D’Amour to see French relics, and experience the Mountain Climbing Train No. 1. Visit Linh Ung Pagoda and admire the 27m tall statue of Shakyamuni Buddha. Experience the mountain climbing train through the moon castle. Visit the Sun God Waterfall, known for its fairyland-like beauty.

12:00 PM: Have a buffet lunch at the restaurant in Ba Na with more than 100 Asian-European specialties and diverse cuisine. The group rests at the restaurant.

01:00 PM: You come to discover the thrilling, new, and attractive games at Fantasy Park, the largest indoor entertainment area in Southeast Asia. The group is free to play attractive games here. The group moves to visit the French village – French Village, admire the ancient villages, the magnificent castle design in European style, and discover a miniature Europe in Ba Na.

03:30 PM – 04:00 PM: Take the cable car back to Suoi Mo station to return to Da Nang.

04:15 PM: The car and tour guide will take you to the hotel to rest.

Evening: The group is free to enjoy dinner. Explore Da Nang at night.

Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Around 10:00 AM, the car will take you to Da Nang Airport to complete check-in procedures for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Noon: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, the car will take you to the hotel to check in. Free to enjoy lunch.

Afternoon: Explore Ho Chi Minh City on your own.

Evening: The group is free to explore Ho Chi Minh City’s cuisine. Explore Ho Chi Minh City at night.

07:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then visit the Independence Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the War Remnants Museum.

12:00 PM: Have lunch at the restaurant.

01:30 PM: The group will depart to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, experience exploring the “underground maze” – one of the famous national monuments in Saigon.

4:30 PM: The car and tour guide will take you to the hotel to rest.

Evening: Free to enjoy dinner. Explore Saigon at night.

07:00 AM: After breakfast, check out and depart for Cai Be. Visit the floating market on the Tien River and observe local life. Explore fruit orchards, villages, and an ancient house. Learn how coconut candy is made and enjoy fresh fruits with Southern folk music. Row through small canals and relax in the serene atmosphere of the Mekong Delta. End at Tan Phong Island, immersed in nature’s tranquility.

12:00 PM: Have lunch.

01:00 PM: You cycle on the village road through the fruit orchards. Meet the local islanders to learn more about the daily life of the local people in the Mekong Delta. You visit Ba Kiet ancient house.

05:00 PM: The group takes a boat back to Cai Be, then the car takes you to Can Tho.

06:30 PM: Arrive in Can Tho, you are free to enjoy dinner. Overnight in Can Tho.

07:00 PM: Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Visit Cai Rang floating market and discover the bustling trading life on the river. Then, visit Munir Ansay Pagoda, a famous Khmer pagoda with unique architecture. Move by boat to Con Son tourist area, visit the fruit plantation, and enjoy seasonal fruits.

12:00 PM: Have lunch at the restaurant. Then the car will take you to Tan Son Nhat Airport. End of program.

Cancellations:

 

• Refunds will not be given for unused or canceled services after the tour arrangements have commenced.
• Tour participants are required to make a deposit of at least 30% of the total tour value.
• Cancellation policy:
  • Cancellation 10 days or more before departure: 30% of the total tour cost will be charged.
  • Cancellation 6-9 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.
  • Cancellation 3-5 days before departure: 75% of the total tour cost will be charged.
  • Cancellation 1-2 days before departure: 100% of the total tour cost will be charged.
  • Cancellation of all services by the tour participant must be requested by email, fax, or phone (Zalo, Skype, Whatsapp, etc).
• Melon Travel is not responsible for any cancellation requests that have not been received and confirmed with you. In this case, cancellation fees or no-show fees will apply.

• For air ticket reservations, we require the guests’ full names AS THEY APPEAR IN THEIR PASSPORTS. Airfares and reservations are always subject to change until paid in full and ticketed.

• In Vietnam Airlines economy class baggage allowance is 20 kg per person. Excess baggage may be subject to overweight charges by the airline. Melon Travel cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to the passenger’s belongings.
• The transportation rates included in our quotation were based on the fuel rate of VND 19,500-20,500 per litre. We reserve the right to adjust our prices periodically in case of fuel price increases by the Government and subsequent price increases by our suppliers when such cumulative costs from our suppliers exceed 10% and above.
• Surcharges for night-time services may apply. Our standard transfers are operated from 06:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs. Surcharges will be applied for arrivals after 23:00 hrs and arrivals or departures before 06:00 hrs.
• We reserve the right to adjust our prices in case of new directives of the applicable VAT and any other taxes and levies imposed by the Central Government and/or local Governments and/or regulatory state bodies.

Important notice:

• In predominately Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim countries we ask that you dress respectfully and avoid shorts/skirts and singlets/tanktops when visiting places of worship. Guests are requested to cover knees and shoulders. Gentlemen are required to wear long trousers and ladies should wear long trousers or long skirts. Shoes are generally removed at the entrance to pagodas. Visitors who do not abide to these rules of conduct may not be allowed to enter the places of worship.
• Certain parts of the tours on offer are provided by independent third parties, such as airlines, hotels, transport operators and local tourist offices. Melon Travel is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage caused thereby to the tourists, including those occurring outside of the normal touring programmers. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political actions and unrest shall be borne by the tourists.
• We advise that due to frequent flight changes, delays and cancellations by the various domestic airlines and trains we cannot fully guarantee that the proposed itinerary can be carried out as planned. Based on our experience, changes of departure times and/ or cancellations can occur at very short notice even after confirmation of a flight has been received. The same applies for train travel: Schedule changes occur frequently; often without prior notification. In case of schedule changes or flight cancellations, we always try everything possible to arrange an alternate program within the framework of the original quoted costs. However, we reserve the right to charge any cost exceeding the original budget to the tour operator/ travel agent or to the participant of a tour after consultation with the agent.

• We strongly advise leaving valuable items (money, passport, credit cards, jewelry, sensitive documents, laptop computer, etc.) in the hotel safe. During excursions and roundtrips, personal belongings, especially money and valuables should NEVER be left on vehicles, even during short breaks, and carried around at all times. • Vietnam being a developing country is in full process of upgrading its infrastructure. Therefore, driving overland can be cumbersome due to ongoing road construction.
