Nestled amidst the fertile Mekong Delta, Ben Tre resembles a captivating countryside painting. Earning the nickname “Land of Coconut Trees, ” Ben Tre boasts lush green landscapes, winding rivers, and endless coconut groves. Life here revolves around the river, where vibrant floating markets showcase the locals’ bustling trade. The province exudes tranquility, with rice paddies painted gold and mangrove forests creating a serene backdrop.
FULL DAY BEN TRE DAY TRIP WITH MANGO CRUISE
7:00-9:30 am:
It takes 2.5 hours to travel from Saigon to Ben Tre by car.
9:30-11:00 am:
Upon reaching Huu Dinh hamlet, take a traditional motor-tricycle ride on quiet village roads. At one of the river arteries, board the traditional Mango boat to start your journey. Along the way, visit coconut processing workshop, one of the delta’s main exports.

11:30-12:30 am:
Next, optional visit local brickwork where ancient techniques are still used to produce handmade bricks to this day. Then switch to two wheels for a gentle cycle through Phong Nam village. Stop pat a local home for some fresh fruit and honey tea in her garden.

12:30-13:30 pm:
Having lunch at the Mango Home Restaurant, you will enjoy the typical dishes here.
13:30-15:00 pm:
Walk to the home of Mr. Sau Tuong, a former Viet Cong soldier who spent two years fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh. Chat with him to learn about his life story while watching his wife making rice paper.

15:00-18:00 pm: The Mango awaits at a nearby pier for our cruise back to Ben Tre, from where we then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City
