Day 1: Hanoi – Mai chau

From 7:00 am – 12:00 am

Situated approximately 150 km to the southwest of Hanoi, Mai Chau is a rural and mountainous region populated by Thai ethnic groups who settled there many years ago.

From 12:00 am – 13:00 pm

Reach Pom Coong village, surrounded by nature and made up of rolling hills, rustic houses, and immense rice fields. Enjoy lunch at one of the stilted houses in Pom Coong village, and the remainder of the day is free for leisure.

From 13:00 pm – 17:00 pm

You will free visit Pom Coong village, learn about cultural of Thai ethnic group. Another option for you can trek through villages, see the huge mountains and terrace fields. After you have dinner in local restaurant. Over night in stilt house.

Day 2: Mai chau – Hanoi

From 8:00 am – 11:00 am

After breakfast at the hotels, follow a trail through the villages, running through rice paddies with a mountainous backdrop. Reach the lesser-known Van Village, which lies off the beaten track at the foot of PuVan Mountain. Enjoy the peaceful scenery surrounding you and get an insight into the Thai ethnic group that lives mainly on rice cultivation, animal husbandry, and traditional occupations such as weaving and knitting.

From 11:00 am – 13:00 pm

After lunch in a local home, return to Hanoi early in the late afternoon.
