EXPLORING MAI CHAU MINORITIES ENCOUNTER
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai chau
From 7:00 am – 12:00 am
Situated approximately 150 km to the southwest of Hanoi, Mai Chau is a rural and mountainous region populated by Thai ethnic groups who settled there many years ago.
From 12:00 am – 13:00 pm
Enjoy lunch at one of the stilted houses in Pom Coong village, and the remainder of the day is free for leisure.
From 13:00 am – 17:00 pm
You have free time to explore Pom Coong village at your own pace.Learn about the traditional way of life of the Thai people. Wander through the village and admire the rustic houses and surroundings. Interact with the friendly locals and experience their warm hospitality. Dinner is on your own arrangement.
Day 2: Pom Coong Village – Xa Linh Village
From 8:00 am – 10:00 am
Spend around an hour drive to Xa Linh village, a mixture of modern and traditional buildings, sitting 1,000 meters above sea level.
From 10:00 am – 12:00 am
Enjoy a light 2-hour trek along scenic mountain trails. Immerse yourself in the fresh mountain air and breathtaking views. Picnic lunch served amidst the beautiful scenery.
From 13:00 pm – 14:00 pm
Explore Xa Linh village and interact with the local Hmong people. Admire their colorful traditional clothing, particularly the women’s elaborately embroidered skirts.Return to your hotel in Pom Coong village. Relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.
Day 3: Pom Coong Village – Hanoi
Free at leisure in the morning to enjoy nature or stroll around your nearby area. After your own arrangement lunch in Mai Chau, begin the journey back to Hanoi. Along the way, be sure to have the 34 camera ready on arrival to the top of the Mai Chau Valley, for superb views. Arrive in Hanoi in the early evening.
