EXPLORING NINH BINH NATIONAL PARK
Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong
From 13:00 pm – 16:00 pm

I visit the Endangered Primate Center & Turtle Conservation Center, where you will have the opportunity to see two of the rarest species in the world, the critically endangered Delacour’s langur and the Cat Ba langur. One important role of the center is the langur breeding program that ensures the protection of several species of this long-tailed Asian monkey including Delacour’s langur, Black and Lao languor, and the Grey-shanked 35 Douc langur. Then hike with your guide and take in the flora and fauna of the National Park, learning something of the botanical richness of the forest. Stop by the gigantic one-thousand-year-old sequoia tree and visit a cave once used by Prehistoric man, now a refuge for bats. Transfer to Ninh Binh for an overnight stay.

From 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Transfer to Hang Mua – Dancing Cave, which was constructed following the model of a miniature Great Wall in China with nearly 500 steps up to mountains to conquer. A moderate trek with many of its uneven limestone steps at the top point but it is worth your conquering efforts for the impressive panoramic view of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh city when you reach the top point of Ngoa Long Mountain.

From 9:00 am – 11:00 am
The journey will be continued by visiting Tam Coc. You will be taken to the river and enjoy the tranquil journey by a rowing boat along floating rice fields, magnificent karst towers, and through mysterious grottos.
From 13:00 am – 15:00 am
After lunch at a local restaurant with Ninh Binh specialties, visit the remains of the once-impressive citadel of Hoa Lu, the capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries. It witnessed many important historical events in the early days: the union of Vietnam after the rebellion of 12 warlords, the war with China’s Southern Han Dynasty, and the formation of Hanoi. Undertake the climb of some 200 steps for a rewarding view and exploration of the temple of Dinh Tien Hoang Emperor. Transfer back to your hotel and free at leisure.

After breakfast, enjoy your hotel in the morning before transferring back to Hanoi in the afternoon.
