HOI AN, VIETNAM
In the 16th century, the ancient town of Hoi An was one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia and was declared a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1999. Hoi An has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with narrow streets and colorful houses decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters. Originally a harbour for the Cham city at My Son, the town became a trading port for Chinese, Japanese and European traders, reaching its peak during the 17th century. The different influences on this riverside town over the centuries have resulted in an eclectic mix of architectural styles, ranging from Chinese assembly halls to grand merchantsâ houses to French colonial villas.

Hoi An is known for simple yet delicious street food. The town is a melting pot of cultures, which has influenced its cuisine. The strong influence of Chinese cuisine, which is guided by the forces of Yin and Yang. The French, Japanese and Indians also contributed to the townâs unique. This eveningâs culinary tour begins with a drink and a small selection of street food nibbles.After sampling Hoi anâs most famous dishes, White Rose and special crispy wontons.

Zipping along the riverfront, a Vietnamese-style hotpot in a lively local restaurant is next on the agenda, before moving onto the last venue on the itinerary.

At 20:00 pm and 21:00 pm
Sample succulent BBQ specialties at Bale well accompanied by a quaffable cold beer and rounded off with a delicious dessert of Flan cake, a light version of caramel inherited from the French. Then, you would have a chance to sit on authentic boat on Hoai river in the evening and release flower garlands like a local, listen to interesting daily stories from boatmen before returning to the hotel.
