Full description

Day 1: Into the Heart of the Muong Hoa Valley

Begin with a scenic drive from Hanoi to the “Tonkinese Alps.” Upon arrival in Sapa, bypass the main town center to start an off-the-beaten-path trek.

Hike through the emerald slopes of Y Linh Ho, where the Black H’mong people have preserved their lifestyle for centuries. Unlike standard tours, visit a local weaving workshop to see how indigo-dyed fabrics are made.

Settle into a hand-picked homestay in the Zay village of Ta Van. As the sun sets, join your hosts in the kitchen for a private cooking masterclass, learning the secrets of the perfect Northern Vietnamese spring roll before sharing a family-style dinner.

Day 2: Red Dao Traditions and Mountain Vistas

Wake up to the sound of the valley breathing. After a traditional breakfast, head deeper into the mist. Navigate the winding paths through lush bamboo forests toward Giang Ta Chai.

Discover the unique customs of the Red Dao people, famous for their striking red turbans and herbal medicine knowledge. Enjoy a farewell lunch at a local vantage point overlooking the Su Pan valley before your comfortable transfer back to the bustling energy of Hanoi.
