Nestled amidst the majestic rice paddies of Sapa, Lao Chai, Ta Van, and Giang Ta Chai villages unveil the captivating tapestry of Vietnam’s northern highland cultures. Lao Chai, the largest village, showcases the Black Hmong community’s vibrant attire and intricate embroidery. Ta Van, home to both Black Hmong and Dzay people, offers serene landscapes and traditional wooden houses. Giang Ta Chai, the most remote, exudes an authentic charm with its rustic dwellings and lush surroundings.

Depart Sapa at 8:00 am head towards Mong Sen village Embark on a scenic hike through the rice paddies surrounding Mong Sen village (described as 2 hours and 6 km).
Interact with people from the Black Hmong and Red Dao ethnic minority groups. Learn about the cultural differences between the two largest ethnic minorities in the region and their customs passed down through generations.

After a picnic lunch, trek downhill towards Ta Phin village, home of the Red Dao and the Black Hmong.. Learn about the cultural differences between these ethnic groups, including their traditional clothing.
After exploring Ta Phin, trek back to a main road where your vehicle awaits. Arrive back at your Sapa hotel by 2:30 pm.
