8:30 am and 14:00 pm,
The 40km drive east of Hoi An towards My Son takes you through picturesque countryside, with views of rice fields and small market towns. Explore the My Son Sanctuary, home to ancient Cham temples nestled in a valley surrounded by hills and mountains. This site was historically significant for Cham rituals, worship, and honoring their kings. Once a vital part of the Champa Kingdom, My Son was a center for cultural and religious activities and a preferred resting place for Cham monarchs. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999, My Son stands out as a key Hindu temple complex in Southeast Asia. Despite suffering damage during the Vietnam War from heavy bombing, only around 20 structures remain intact today.
