Full description

Walk off the street and into a local home.

Voices drift outside, hands pause between brews, and fresh coffee slowly warms the room.

The experience

The group is kept small, so nothing feels rushed or distant. With detail guidance, you’ll make 4 to 6 iconic Vietnamese coffees: Black, Brown, Egg, White (Silver), Coconut, and Salted Coffee.

Every cup is fully hands-on. You grind, brew, whisk, taste, and adjust. Recipes are personalized: sweeter, bolder, stronger — while staying true to the original soul of each coffee. Along the way, you’ll learn practical tips that actually work at home:

How locals balance bitterness, control strength, and make coffee taste better without fancy equipment.

The people & the stories

Your hosts were born and raised in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, grew up with coffee, learning from grandparents, chefs, street cafĂ©s, and years of tasting and experimenting. We don’t just guide how to make coffee, we share why it tastes this way, and what each style says about Hanoi life.

Stories flow naturally, about mornings in the city, old cafés, changing tastes, and how Vietnamese coffee became what it is today.

The coffee & ingredients

Vietnamese specialty coffee is used, carefully selected and tested. Beans sourced from Vietnam’s Central Highlands, seasonal harvests, coffee changes throughout the year. Chosen after many tastings across Vietnam (only what’s good is shared).

Fresh ingredients are prepared daily, including eggs, milk, and coconut.

Nothing is pre-made or artificial.

The space & atmosphere

This is a home where people actually live. You touch ceramic tools from local pottery villages, feel the texture of coffee grounds and foam, taste bold, deeply Vietnamese flavors, and hear both quiet moments and everyday life outside.

Hanoi’s slow rhythm unfolds naturally, and you’re part of it.

Come us with curiosity, leave with new skills, a full heart, real friendships, and insider understanding of Vietnamese coffee and our culture.
