Full description

This full-day tour combines two of southern Vietnam’s most iconic destinations, the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta, into a fast-paced day trip from Ho Chi Minh City.
This tour is available in three formats: a fully private experience for your group only, a small group tour (maximum 12 travelers), or a standard group departure (maximum 25 travelers). All options follow the same itinerary and include the same components.
Morning: Cu Chi Tunnels.
Travel by car to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a vast underground network dug by hand during the Vietnam War, stretching over 250 km beneath the jungle. Watch a short documentary, then crawl through an actual tunnel section and discover ingenious hidden trapdoors and the Hoang Cam smokeless kitchen above ground. Your guide will provide comprehensive historical context throughout the tour. An optional shooting range is available on-site at an additional cost.
Lunch.
Before leaving Cu Chi, your guide will take the group to a local Vietnamese restaurant near the tunnels for a set-menu lunch.
(Participants on the private tour can choose to have lunch in Cu Chi or at a riverside restaurant in the Mekong Delta. Please inform your guide on the day.)
At My Tho Pier, board a traditional motorboat and cruise past the four famous river islands: the Dragon, the Phoenix, the Unicorn, and the Turtle. On Thoi Son Island, visit a working honey farm, enjoy honey tea and banana wine, sample seasonal tropical fruits, and experience live Đờn Ca Tài Tử folk music, recognized by UNESCO, in a riverside pavilion.
This is followed by a ride in a traditional sampan through narrow, coconut-lined canals: shaded, peaceful, and unhurried.
The afternoon continues in Ben Tre, where a family workshop demonstrates the traditional making of coconut candy. You’ll have time to stroll around and sample the treats before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City, where you should arrive around 5:30-6:00 PM.
