Start time depends on your requirements, with tours lasting from 2 hours to 2.5 hours. Our knowledgeable history tour guide will pick you up at Nine Holy Cannons in Cua Ngan, and then assist you in purchasing tickets and continuing your Hue Imperial City Walking Tour. Nine Holy Cannons (Cá»u vị thần công) is a precious bronze work, the cannons were cast in 1803.
1. The Flag Tower (Kỳ Äà i Huế), an architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty situated in the heart of the south face of the Hue Citadel, served as the flag-bearing site for the royal court.
2. Noon Gate (NgỠMôn Huế) was built in 1833, as a gate reserved for the king or used to welcome envoys.
3. Ngu Phung Pavilion (Lầu Ngũ Phụng) has a frame structure made entirely of ironwood with 100 pillars and is located above Ngo Mon Gate.
4. Thai Hoa Palace (Äiện Thái Hòa), located in the Imperial Citadel area of Hue Citadel, is the coronation place of 13 Nguyen Kings.
5. The Forbidden Purple City (TỠCấm Thà nh) is only reserved for the king and royal family of the Nguyen Dynasty, mandarins and civilians are not allowed to come close.
6. Duyet Thi Duong Royal Theater (Duyệt Thị ÄÆ°á»ng) is one of four theaters built during the Nguyen Dynasty and is also the oldest preserved theater.
7. Thieu Phuong Garden (VÆ°á»n Thiệu PhÆ°Æ¡ng) was built in 1828 and is one of the typical royal gardens of the Nguyen Dynasty.
8. Thai Binh Pavilion (Thái Bình Lâu) was built from 1919 to 1921, as a place for the king to rest and relax.
9. Kien Trung Palace (Äiện Kiến Trung) was built in 1923, highlighted by the combination of Asian and European architecture. Completely collapsed and was restored in 2024.
10. Dien Tho Palace (Cung Diên Thá») is the Queen Mother’s residence, with large scale, exquisitely carved details, and elegant style.
11. The Mieu Temple (Thế Miếu Huế), stands as a temple dedicated to worshiping the 10 Kings of the Nguyen Dynasty.
12. The Nine Dynastic Urns (Cá»u Äỉnh Huế), a collection of bronze urns commissioned by Emperor Minh Mang in 1835, has a total of 162 images cast and carved on 9 bronze uns.
13. Hien Lam Pavilion (Hiển Lâm Các) was built in 1821 – 1822 and is considered the place where the emperors had their epiphanies.
