Discover the best of Hue on a private sightseeing tour with a professional driver. Visit the Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the tombs of Minh Mang, Tu Duc, and Khai Dinh.
Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Hue. Head to the Imperial Citadel, also known as the Royal Palace or Forbidden City. Explore the area constructed from 1804 – 1833 by the first two kings of the Nguyen Dynasty, Gia Long and Minh Mang.
Continue to the Thien Mu Pagoda, the oldest and most famous pagoda in Hue. Admire the pagoda built in 1601 by the founder of the Nguyen Family in this region, Nguyen Hoang.
Next, visit the tomb of Minh Mang, started by himself but finished by his son, King Thieu Tri. Discover the tomb’s area of 1 hectare with living and working areas for the king, queen, and living room for his minor wives and concubines after his death.
Continue to the tomb of Tu Duc, built by King Tu Duc for himself. Explore the area of about 12 hectares, including 2 separate areas: the temple area and the burial area.
Finally, visit the tomb of Khai Dinh, the only royal tomb with a blend of Oriental and European styles. Admire the unique architecture of the tomb, the only one where the king was buried underneath. After the tour, be dropped off back at your hotel.
