Full description
After being collected from your accommodation, you will set off through the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh’s extraordinary streets. Your tour begins as soon as you’re aboard your private vehicle, when your knowledgeable guide will provide you with some information on Vietnam’s political history in preparation for the tunnel experience.

Upon arriving at the Ben Dinh Tunnels, you will go through the subway to enter into the old base of the Viet Cong. You will be surrounded by thick forest, shaded by beautiful trees and bamboo. Your tour guide will show you around the location while explaining the magnificent, clever tunnels. Prepare to be amazed by the cunning traps and the sheer resourcefulness of the Viet Cong. From camouflaged entrances into the tunnels, bamboo booby traps and the intricate ventilation system, you will see it all!

Next, it will be your turn to experience the tunnels up close. Embrace this amazing experience by dipping underground and exploring the tunnels. The Viet Cong were particularly small and slim so the tunnels were originally designed so that they could only just fit in. Nowadays, for educational purposes the tunnels have been widened slightly, but be prepared for a snug adventure as you move through them.

To end your Cu Chi tunnel experience, you’ll get to learn about the amazing hidden kitchens that were inside the tunnels and even try out some typical Viet Cong food. As you move through the unique location you’ll also get the chance to shoot some guns, such as bazookas and AK47’s (at an additional cost.

Prior to returning to the busy streets of Saigon, we will make a stop at a rubber plantation to learn about the history of rubber tree cultivation in Vietnam. Your tour guide will provide insights into the local people’s daily work on the plantation, including their rubber tapping, collection, and production techniques.

After what promises to be an unforgettable and memorable morning, you will begin your journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. Your team will drop you off either at your accommodation or to the War Remnants Museum upon your request. Before saying farewell to your guide, make sure you receive recommendations from them to further assist your exploration of the city.
