Sapa 3-Day Trekking Adventure – Rice Terraces, Local Life & Hidden Trails

Day 1: Sapa – Hang Da – Hau Thao – Ta Van (L/D)
Your local guide will meet you at the meeting point in Sapa Town around 9:00 AM. After a quick intro, we’ll hit a small uphill trail to a panoramic viewpoint where you can see Fansipan Peak (3,143 m) and the vast Muong Hoa Valley below.

We’ll then hike down to Hang Da, a quiet Black Hmong village surrounded by breathtaking rice terraces. On the way, you might see water buffalos, pigs, or locals working in the fields.

Stop for lunch at a family-run eatery in the village. In the afternoon, continue along peaceful trails to Hau Thao, before arriving in Ta Van, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by a local Hmong family. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner and unwind in their cozy homestay.

Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Ta Van (L/D)
We’ll start the day with a scenic trek deeper into the hills toward Giang Ta Chai Waterfall, crossing lush bamboo forests and entering the territory of the Red Dao people.

Visit a local Red Dao home and learn more about their unique culture before looping back across a hanging bridge.

Lunch will be served at a small Hmong-owned restaurant in the village. After lunch, we’ll make our way to Su Pan, a less-visited Hmong community nestled on the hillsides.

Return to your homestay in Ta Van for a relaxed evening and dinner.

Day 3: Ta Van – Lao Chai – Y Linh Ho – Sapa (L)
Today’s trek takes us through more stunning rice terraces and across the Muong Hoa River. We’ll pass through Lao Chai and hike up into the hills for a spectacular view of the Hoang Lien Son range.

We then head down to Y Linh Ho, where we’ll enjoy lunch at a small, traditional Hmong restaurant.

After the meal, walk 1.5 km to the pickup point, then take a car back to Sapa Town. End the trip
