Meet your local guide in Sapa town for an introduction to the tour’s itinerary and insights about this region. Depending on the tour starting time, the guide will take you to different food places around Sapa town.
You will have a chance to explore a variety of traditional dishes that reflect both highland flavors and Vietnamese comfort food, from light bites to hearty meals.
For the morning time slot, the tour can begin with warm and authentic local specialties such as Corn Phở cause the special thing here is the noodle made out of corn flour. Then you can try black sticky rice cake (bánh chưng đen), smoked buffalo meat, and chestnut pastry. End the tour with a sweet soup dessert — perfect for easing into the day while learning about Sapa’s unique food culture.
During the afternoon time slot, guests can try Vietnamese favorites including Bun Cha (vermicelli with grill pork, herbs and fish sauce) or steam rice roll with mince filling, complemented by local snacks.
As for the evening time slot, the experience becomes livelier with popular street food at the night market such as grilled rice paper and grilled eggs, followed by a comforting bowl of beef noodles. From this spot, you can watch the Muong Hoa monorail pass through the mountains—an iconic sight framed by terraced rice fields and misty peaks.
